Forsyth Park

Savannah, GA 31401

If you want a park that has it all, Forsyth Park in Savannah is the place to be. Spanning more than 40 acres, Forsyth Park is Savannah’s largest (and oldest!) public park. It sits on donated land from the 1840s and features an iconic, historic fountain that serves as a symbol of Savannah even today. This park serves as a memorial to Confederate soldiers, featuring historic monuments that honor this area’s rich story. This park also houses a fragrant garden for the blind, made out of a World War I-era fort. Visitors to Forsyth Park can enjoy expansive greenery, gardens, festivals, concerts, and farmers’ markets. There is plenty of shade at this park, and visitors can walk or jog along the park’s pathways.
