Savannah Babymoon Spots to Enjoy Each Other’s Company

As the exciting journey of parenthood draws near, there’s no better way to celebrate pre-baby life than by embarking on a babymoon. These getaways are the perfect opportunity to savor time with your partner. Treat yourselves to a beautiful retreat before the whirlwind of parenthood begins. Savannah is a fabulous option for a romantic babymoon, full of history, charm, and Southern hospitality. If you’re looking for some getaway guidance, consider this your guide to planning the perfect Savannah babymoon

Your Guide to A Memorable, Relaxing Savannah Babymoon

Where to Stay

The first key to a relaxing and indulgent babymoon is finding the perfect place to stay. Furthermore, these are a few of my recommendations for a relaxing retreat.

The Gastonian: Located in one of Savannah’s oldest and most decadent mansions, this gorgeous bed and breakfast features private bathrooms, working fireplaces, and lots of opulent charm. Experience the true sophistication of historic Savannah with plenty of luxury amenities.

Azalea Inn and Villas: This private estate-turned-bed and breakfast has spared no detail in creating an elegant retreat. Private ensuite bathrooms and access to their private pool, fire pit, and coffee station help to set an authentic getaway vibe.

Hotel Bardo: Opening in February 2004, Hotel Bardo is “equal parts urban resort and neighborhood clubhouse.” With impeccable service, thoughtful amenities, and a comfortable sense of luxury, it’s a decadent (and newly reimagined) way to experience Savannah.

Hamilton-Turner Inn: The Hamilton-Turner Inn has been voted the Best Romantic Hotel by USA Today time and time again. You’ll feel transported back in time with gorgeous antique furnishings and décor but pleasantly surprised by their contemporary amenities and excellent hospitality.

Things to Do

Savannah is one of the most remarkable and unique cities in the South, if not the country. Luckily, there are plenty of ways to experience this fantastic destination! Here are a few of my favorite ways to experience Savannah:

Visit Forsyth Park: This incredible park has been a part of Savannah’s history since the mid-1800s. Today, it’s the perfect place for strolling hand in hand, taking in the sights of gorgeous fountains, moss-covered trees, and expansive rolling lawns. Pack a picnic lunch for an extra romantic touch!

Trolley Tours: Hop aboard a motorized trolley to get a more comprehensive view of Savannah. These “hop on, hop off” tours allow you to stop and get a closer look at any site that piques your interest, giving you plenty of opportunities to see everything the city offers.

River Street: Wandering along historic River Street, you’ll experience old cobblestone streets, historic buildings, and plenty of Savannah character (and characters!) Lined with delightful shops and award-winning restaurants, it’s a lovely stroll for shoppers, sightseers, and locals alike.

Carriage Ride: For a truly Southern way to experience Savannah, see the most popular sights while traveling in a horse-drawn carriage. Sit back and enjoy a guided, narrated tour of historic Savannah. Listen to the soothing “clip-clops” of horse hooves on cobblestones.

Best Restaurants

It wouldn’t be a babymoon without indulging in some incredible food. Hence, these are some of the best restaurants in Savannah:

Alligator Soul: An elegant downtown dining destination that combines intimate, romantic dining and organic, local ingredients.

Olde Pink House: Enjoy innovative Southern cuisine in a beautifully renovated Colonial mansion.

Mrs. Wilkes Dining Room: A delicious, more casual Southern diner that serves amazing meals at communal tables. There’s always a line, and the menu changes every day!

Chive Sea Bar and Lounge: Fresh and delectable seafood with both Asian and Southern touches, served in a 1920s art-deco-inspired space.

Savannah Babymoon

In conclusion, if you’re expecting a baby, don’t put planning a babymoon on the backburner! A Savannah babymoon can be just the thing to enjoy a little romance and indulgence before your little one arrives.
